NuCalm – This drug-free treatment helps place your brain in a state of relaxation. Simple atmosphere modifiers like dark glasses and soothing music combine with natural tablets that inhibit adrenaline to calm you. NuCalm is a special form of sedation that we offer because we find it so effective for our patients.
Topical anesthetic – A numbing gel that provides light, temporary relief from superficial pain. We use this to provide painless shots (whether oral or facial, for Botox or Juvederm).
Local anesthesia – These shots provide local numbing so that your dentist can work on teeth without causing discomfort. Local anesthesia is used in any dental treatment in which tooth structure is altered/affected.
Nitrous oxide – Nitrous oxide provides a feeling of calm and joy for patients nervous in the dental chair. It will be accompanied by a form of anesthesia.
For patients too uncomfortable with dental treatment to gain relaxation with one of the above forms of anesthesia, we can discuss other options. We won’t proceed with your dental work until you are ready.
